Integrate!is an integrated grass roots organization and trauma-informed community network of social workers, educators, yoga teachers, therapists, nurses, artists, parents, foster parents, counselors, massage therapists, doctors and other human service providers—as well as survivors that are dedicated to street level resiliency and healing across America.Integrate!creates social networking opportunities for professionals and individuals wanting to learn more about Trauma Smart Practices to connect and support each other. By using a variety of embodied ways that minimize the effects of compassion fatigue, the network helps to increase the capacity for professionals and parents to show up for their clients, students, families, and children, with the capacity to provide compassionate and Trauma Smart Practices. By integrating powerful resources across America, our national approach offers a wider scale of knowledge on healing through resiliency building and self-care for professionals and survivors.Integrate!was originally founded in St. Louis as the Trauma-Informed Network of St. Louis, where its head quarters still remain.

Universal Design for Learning is an approach based in cognitive neuroscience aimed at creating inclusive and equitable living spaces.

This is a self-paced, self-guided 4 module course that covers the basics of Universal Design and is geared for therapists, social workers, educators and any human service provider. You will have from June 28th to July 26th to complete the course. Universal Design for Learning is an approach based in cognitive neuroscience aimed at supporting educators and related service providers as they strive to create equitable and inclusive learning and living spaces for learners of all ages online and in person. This four module workshop uses modeling and direct instruction to provide :-An introduction to the basic tenants of Universal Design for Learning- An introduction to the social model of disability and how it is used to reframe planning and implementation-Techniques to identify the needs of your space so you can begin to apply the tenants of UDL- A discussion on the role and importance of representation as it relates to fostering inclusive spacesAttendees will walk away with a more concrete understanding and practice on how to make adaptations and modifications through the lens of trauma sensitivity and universal design to humans in our learning spaces that have multiple types of needs Module 1: IntroductionIdentifying Purpose and Need in Learning SpacesModels of Disability Module 2: EngagementSustaining Effort and Engagement for All LearnersPromoting Curiosity + Innovation Module 3: RepresentationHow who is in the room impacts literacy + instructionSocial Emotional Perception + Reception Module 4: Action + ExpressionThe use of choice based instruction in the demonstration of knowledge**Sign up for our self-guided, self-paced workshop and receive**:..4 Modules and 4 reusable planning worksheets on implementing each part of the Universal Design Model for any space..4 Non-Contact Yoga Alliance CEUS ..4 Hours of Professional Development for public educators ..A Certificate of completion ..3 week access to the course materials if you sign up by April 13th..Opportunity for further support on implementing universal design and practicing thinking in this way.
