Creating Dynamic, Engaging Online Conferences & Webinars (online workshop)
Go from in-person presentations and panels to dynamic webinars and online sessions ... that keep your audience engaged.
Moving your presentations online? Delivering content to a remote crowd? Want to make sure your audience is engaged? Hoping to replicate the networking and interpersonal connections that would happen in-person? Trying to keep sponsors involved in your online events?
Geared for conference organizers, event planners, and speakers, this online workshop provides practical tips and hands-on experience, especially when moving a presentation to the web.
This live online workshop is focused on:
- Creating (or adapting) compelling content
- Decreasing the burden on the planner and presenter
- Involving the audience so they're not just passive viewers
Note that this is an active online workshop that will simulate a virtual presentation or conference breakout session; it's not a passive lecture or PowerPoint so expect to participate.

Tech requirements for the online workshop
There are dozens of virtual meeting platforms. Online meeting software includes conferencing solutions from providers like Cisco WebEx, AnyMeeting, Slack, BlueJeans, Microsoft Teams, GoToMeeting, Zoho Meeting, Google Hangouts, and Join.Me. This online workshop will use Zoom.
For a more uniform participant experience, please plan to join from a computer with a large screen rather than a phone. (More limited phone apps tend to have less functionality; while they're ok for watching video, they're less well suited to actual meetings.)
You'll need a computer with a camera and a microphone. To model effective meeting interactions and to allow for a realistic, participatory experience, attendees must join with audio and video.
