About this event

My presentation will summarize ways that helped me understand, and create better educational models in the fascinating and complex world of medicine with a special focus on neonatology.

Presenter Biography:

Hi, I chose to pursue a career in medicine with an emphasis on caring for ill newborn infants and supporting their families with an ethically sound team-based approach. My medical school education was in India and advanced training included pediatrics residency in Michigan, neonatology fellowship in SoCal, and further education at Harvard Medical School, Boston.

In addition to the dynamic world of intensive care, I chose to focus on academic opportunities in bioethics and palliative care for increasing the delivery of educational approaches. My work life has been at different hospitals in Southern California and includes advocacy for the good health of children beginning from their first hours of life. It's wonderful to discuss career paths and ideas with students in this forum. Irvine continues to be a lovely place for home, along with nurturing and open-minded members of the IUSD community for my children.
