Arlington Center for the Arts is a community arts center devoted to the mission oftransforming lives and building community through the arts.  ACA was established in 1988 by a visionary group of artists, writers, musicians and educators as a place where artists could share their work with the community through educational and outreach programs.Today, ACA is a vibrant community arts center and a cornerstone for the creative community in Arlington.  ACA offers opportunities for people of all ages to discover and express their own creativity and to appreciate the creativity of others through a dynamic mix of classes, workshops, exhibits, performances and special events.

Please join  the  Arlington Center for the Arts for the Opening Reception of their fall exhibition Created Equal

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the passing of the 19th Amendment and the successes of the Suffrage movement, the <a href="https://www.acarts.org/current-shows" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Arlington Center for the Arts</a> in partnership with the <a href="http://lwva.com/about.html#policy" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">League of Women Voters of Arlington</a> present Created Equal. This exhibition showcases artwork that exemplifies the mosaic of voices that contribute to our society and the equal weight all voices carry. Artwork in this exhibit address concepts of fundamental rights and freedoms in our society through a variety of subjects and mediums.Join ACA and LWVA for an opening reception celebrating the powerful and poignant artwork displayed in this exhibition. This online reception conducted through Zoom will include a tour of the exhibition as well as some remarks from ACA staff, Created Equal Jurors Liz Shepard and Jill Harvey, several Created Equal artists, and League of Women Voters of Arlington Board Members. Grab a comfy spot in your home and a refreshment, and celebrate the hard work of our participating artists and all those who fight for equality in our society.
