Project Giving Kids invites you to our first ever Create the Change Day on Sunday, October 30th from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Reggie Lewis Athletic Center in Boston where we will have fun and make a difference all in the same afternoon. Join us to pack toiletry kits for the homeless, make "Get Well" jars for those visiting Boston for life-saving medical treatment, craft cards for the elderly and so much more. Perfect for little kids and big kids alike, help us spread messages of hope and leave with a lot of ideas for how you can Create the Change every day in your own backyard. Not to mention, there will be live music, crafts, food, and raffle prizes to keep the excitement going all afternoon! Halloween costumes welcome (but certainly not required).

FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Children under 15 MUST be accompanied by an adult. Waivers are required for all participants, and must be signed by a parent or guardian for those under age 18.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

There is onsite parking at Roxbury Community College. The primary parking lot for RCC and the Reggie Lewis Center, Parking Lot #1, will be under construction from August 2016 - early January 2017. During this time, limited parking will be available in lot #2 and lot #3. To view a map of current parking options, please click here and scroll down to the bottom of the page.

THE REGGIE LEWIS CENTER IS ALSO ACCESSIBLE BY THE ORANGE LINE AT ROXBURY CROSSING.

What can I bring to the event?

Please consider bringing any one (or more) of the following items to benefit some of our fantastic partners! Of course, bringing something is not required, but if you want to add to the impact of the day, we will be collecting the following:

• Bring a Book for a Baby! We will be accepting new and gently used board books at the event to benefit children served by Room to Grow, a nonprofit providing support to the families of Boston babies and toddlers born into poverty.
  
• Grab a canned good for our friends at the Harvest Food Pantry in Cambridge
• Donate a NEW pair of socks for the homeless, served by our partners St. Francis House (adults) and Gotta Have Sole (kids)
  
• Pass a new or gently used ball (soccer, football, baseball, etc.) our way to benefit the children served by our partner Doc Wayne Youth Services

What if I know someone who wants to come but can't afford to buy a ticket?

Project Giving Kids wants ALL kids, teens and families who want to make a difference to join us to #CreateTheChange! We have a small number of free tickets available for anyone for whom the ticket price is an issue. Just email us at info@projectgivingkids.org and we'll give you all the details.
