Create either a tranquil landscape or a lively floral on a stretched canvas in this 3 hour workshop. No experience? No problem! Step by step instructions and a supportive setting will let you focus on the process and give yourself a break from the every day. You'll learn how to 'build' a painting with layers of colour and brushwork from demonstrations and with guidance.

Julie has been painting and exhibiting since graduating from York University (BFA) in 1991. Recently retired from a 26 year career at the Art Gallery of Ontario, she has settled in the County to pursue painting full time.

Enter at the front doors facing Main St after parking in the parking lot off Johnson St.

Ticket includes a snack and beverage, all materials will be provided and you will take your art home with you!

Do I need to have previous art making experience?

Not at all, anyone can create a work of art in this workshop. Instruction, guidance and support will be provided. Even beginners can relax and just have fun creating.

Do I need to bring anything?

No need, all materials are supplied.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing, no long dangling sleeves. Aprons will be provided.
