The National Collaborative on Childhood Obesity Research (NCCOR) brings together four of the nation’s leading research funders - the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)–in a public-private collaboration to accelerate progress on reversing the epidemic of overweight and obesity among U.S. youth.

An expert panel will demonstrate how to use our newest tool, <a href="https://www.nccor.org/nccor-tools/create-thriving-activity-friendly-communities/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Create Thriving, Activity-Friendly Communities: Making the Case for Investments in Activity-Friendly Communities</a>, and discuss how focusing on economic benefits can promote physical activity. Featured speakers include: <ul><li>Hatidza Zaganjor, MPH, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention </li><li>Cole Youngner, MPH, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention </li><li>Mark Fenton, MS, adjunct associate professor at Tufts University's Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, and public health, planning, and active transportation consultant. </li></ul>NCCOR's newest tool can help communities meet the demand for inclusive spaces that promote physical activity. It contains a customizable presentation, talking points, research articles, and a factsheet to share. NCCOR recently added an <a href="https://www.nccor.org/tools-econindicators/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Economic Indicators Library</a> to help communities identify their most pressing local issues, needs, and vision for the future. Registration for the webinar is free but attendance is limited, so register early and share with a colleague!
