About this event
This is a 2 session class. Session 1 you will prepare you bowl blank. This will include planning stock to thickness, ripping segment strips and then cutting your segments to create your rings. Then you will position and glue your segment rings. Lastly, you will press the segments together. Session 1 is 3 hours long.You will return the following week for session 2. In this session, Students learn about Lathe usage, cutting techniques, proper tool selection, sanding and finishing procedures and proper safety practices. All tools and materials provided. All tools and materials will be provided. At the end of the 3-hour class, the student will take home their own handcrafted bowl.

Frequently asked questions
This class requires the use of power tools, which requires the attendee to be 14 years or older. Attendees below 18 years must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian throughout the entire class. If a parent or legal guardian is required to attend, only 1 ticket is required.
Safety glasses or face shields, hearing protection, gloves, and dust respirators will be provided free of charge as needed. No loose clothing should be worn, long sleeves should be rolled up, long hair should be tied back. No open-toed shoes can be worn during classes.
