About this event

Curious about emerging craft artists and their work? Join the SA+C for a full-day trip to the Rhode Island School of Design. Joining us on for the day will be Professor, Tracy Steepy, RISD Jewelry and Metal Works Chair and SA+C Board Member. The day begins with a private tour of the Rhode Island School of Design Museum with Emily Banas, Associate Curator Decorative Arts & Design curator. Enjoy lunch at RISD and continue on with a visit to the studios at RISD with artists in residence, Tiasha Corrington. The tour moves on to the Dunkin Center to view the RISD Graduate Thesis Show and ends at the World’s Fair Gallery for the Pre-opening of RISD Senior and Graduate Production work.

Transportation from Boston to Providence and back will be provided. We will meet in Boston at 8:30 am and reach Providence by 10:00 am. Our planned return time is 7:30 pm. If you prefer, you can drive directly to Providence to join us and then use the bus for transportation between destinations, within Providence.
