Nothing shows how much you love your bike while providing a creative outlet like DIY accessories. Join Jordan Gomez, BikeWalkKC and several area ride group leaders as we learn how to upcycle used material to create unique bike flare. After each workshop, we will head out on a short group ride to show it off.

Do I need to bring my own material?

Nope! Support from the Johnson County library means that instruction, crafting tools and materials will be provided.

Do I need to know how to sew or use any of the Maker Space materials?

No prior experience with sewing machines, laser cutters, or engravers is needed. Each class is beginner-friendly, and we’ll start with a short introduction to the project and equipment. However, if you do have some sewing experience, it will certainly be helpful!

How long is the bike ride?

There will be two distance options on the bike ride. We'll complete one loop of about 5 miles. If you're up for more, we'll complete a second loop no more than 5 miles. This is a no-drop ride. Bring your own bike, helmet and lights.

Do I have to attend the bike ride?

No. You can sign up for only attending the crafting class.
