Craft is series of events focusing on the craft behind design of all kinds.With a most varied creative scene, Manchester has invented and output world changing ideas, music, products and services. Behind the product is the craft of the makers; the people who realise visions and turn ideas into reality.Craft brings these people together to celebrate what it means to make.

<P><SPAN>Mr Bingo was a commercial illustrator for 15 years, working regularly for clients such as The New Yorker, The Guardian, TIME, CH4, The Mighty Boosh & The New York Times. An archive of the thousands of illustrations from this period doesn’t exist online because he got bored once in a <A HREF="https://www.instagram.com/p/BGhfqoUt5Gw/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">motorhome</A> and deleted his entire portfolio website. You can see a small selection of work from this period </SPAN><A HREF="https://mr.bingo/various-bits/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><SPAN>here</SPAN></A><SPAN>.</SPAN></P>
<P><SPAN>In 2015 he launched a <A HREF="https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mrbingo/hate-mail-the-definitive-collection" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Kickstarter</A></SPAN><SPAN> to fund a book about his </SPAN><A HREF="https://mr.bingo/hate-mail/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><SPAN>Hate Mail</SPAN></A><SPAN> project. The campaign featured a </SPAN><A HREF="https://mr.bingo/kickstarter-rap-video/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><SPAN>rap video</SPAN></A><SPAN> and a diverse selection of rewards including being trolled, having your washing up done, going on a <A HREF="https://www.instagram.com/p/5smBget5Js" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">date in Wetherspoons</A></SPAN><SPAN>, being told to fuck off on Christmas Day and </SPAN><A HREF="https://twitter.com/hashtag/gettingshitfacedonatrain?f=tweets&vertical=default&lang=en" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><SPAN>getting shitfaced on a train</SPAN></A><SPAN>.</SPAN></P>
<P><SPAN>He decided around this period to never work for clients ever again and focus on being some sort of <A HREF="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artist" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">artist</A> which he’s done ever since.</SPAN></P>

<H4>Bio</H4>
<P><SPAN>Tash has 20 years experience of working in the creative and education industry, after running the BA and MA Design course at Salford University she moved to Hyper Island to Lead the Masters courses in Digital Media Management & Digital experience design facilitating the learning of 60 internationally creatively fuelled students. Along with the education path she has also built up a wide portfolio of work including MapMyMCR a growing Map of illustrated buildings and their narratives, Mundaneaday a daily typographic project which is in its 5th year, record covers for bands such as Elbow, Skateboard collabs with Linder Sterling, large scale hand lettered murals in studios in MCR and beyond and much more. Collaborations is a core feature in her working and being part of Generic Greeting and BLAB helps enable this to grow. Having Cornish roots she's a friendly little creature and is usually happy to be seen talking design on stage (at the bar) or featuring in exhibitions that aim to make the world a little bit brighter.</SPAN></P>

<P><SPAN>Jenna Campbell is Editor and Co-founder of NRTH LASS magazine, a print platform celebrating the best of female talent up north. A proud Mancunian she is passionate about celebrating the success of others living and working in the region to prove that it's not so grim up north. Having studied History and Politics at Leeds University her career has so far spanned editorial, publishing, content marketing and communications. She currently works for Yolk - a creative culture marketing agency in Manchester, helping to curate the editorial platform for their digital magazine Yolklore. When she's not editing the latest issue of NRTH LASS, or coming up with ideas for Yolk, you'll find her pursuing her other passion - marathon running - for her sins!</SPAN></P>
