Cradles to Crayons knows that we are stronger when we serve together. Our 2024 Chairman’s Council Clothing Insecurity Impact Award (CCCIIA) highlights some of the incredible organizations working to #EndClothingInsecurity across the United States.


This annual recognition honors the contributions of organizations working to ensure that children have the essential clothing they need to feel safe, valued, and to thrive in their childhoods.

Join us to recognize our four Clothing Insecurity Partners, who represent a diverse, rich network of organizations whose work lifts families up:

Grand Prize: Compass Family Services (Giving Factory Direct Service Partner), a San Francisco nonprofit that helps homeless families and those at imminent risk to achieve housing stability, economic self-sufficiency, and well-being by providing families experience a housing crisis with a comprehensive suite of housing and support services based on the knowledge that health, childcare, housing, and income are the four interconnected pillars essential to a family's long-term stability

Runner Up: YouthConnect (Cradles to Crayons—Boston Service Partner), an innovative violence prevention, intervention and advocacy program of Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston in partnership with the Boston Police Department. YouthConnect provides comprehensive community-based mental health and wraparound services, facilitated by licensed clinical social workers strategically placed in district area police stations and specialized police units who work in close collaboration with front-line officers and community partners to provide intervention services to youth and their families

Honorable Mention: Methodist Services (Cradles to Crayons—Philadelphia Service Partner), a multiservice organization that provides life enriching programs to children, adults and families as they face the challenges of limited resources, increased poverty, homelessness, disabilities and inequities in education. Methodist Services provides early childhood education, school age programs, housing services, supports for families, mental health and counseling services, and nutrition programs

Honorable Mention: Roseland Community Hospital Foundation (Cradles to Crayons—Chicago Service Partner), a nonprofit corporation with a mission to develop quality hospital programs and services that enable community residents to grow and live healthy lifestyles through wrap-around support services, activities, education, and warm-hand referrals for the residents of the surrounding communities of Chicago's far southside neighborhoods.

This year's Chairman’s Council Clothing Insecurity Impact Award also recognizes two Clothing Insecurity Crusader organization working outside of C2C’s current network whose work exemplifies C2C’s vision that one day all children will have the clothing they need. As the largest national nonprofit leading the work to end Clothing Insecurity, we aim to uplift the efforts of other organizations who are a part of this movement.

Join us to recognize our two Clothing Insecurity Crusaders:

Grand Prize: Legacy Parenting Center, based in Shawnee, Oklahoma Legacy Parenting serves the mission of "building stronger, healthier families through education, resources, and mentoring" by addressing basic, foundation necessities for families with young children, including clothing and diapers, as well as meeting children's social, emotional, and developmental needs.

Honorable Mention: In The Image, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan In the Image provides hope, dignity, and respect through the best shopping experience money does not have to buy. In the Image provides free clothing, shoes, hygiene items and household necessities at no cost to persons in their community struggling with instability.

About Cradles to Crayons

Cradles to Crayons® (C2C®) is leading the way to end Clothing Insecurity, with a belief that all children deserve the clothing essentials they need to feel safe, warm, ready to learn, and valued. Founded in 2002, Cradles to Crayons provides children living in homelessness, poverty, or low-income situations, with free clothing, diapers, and other essentials, so they can thrive at home, at school, and at play.
