TARGET AUDIENCE:

SLPs, OT’s, Administrators and Special Education Teachers

DESCRIPTION:

New, updated training analyzing current research and best practice in the field of augmentative and alternative communication. Participants will leave with a more in-depth understanding of how to support children with complex communication needs. Topics covered will include hands-on experience with foundational knowledge, conducting AAC evaluations, goal setting, implementation of both low- and high-tech communication devices, coaching, as well as literacy activities for AAC users. Integration of AAC knowledge and implementation strategies will be emphasized.

This is a 2 day training. Lunch is NOT provided.
