Two CPR & First Aid Classes will be offered on Saturday, June 17, and Saturday, June 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Classroom at The 'Mark.
Cost for the training is $45. Please bring cash only with you the day of the training to give directly to the instructor. A minimum of 6 participants is required for each training and a maximum of 10 spaces are available.  Minimum age participation is 8 years old. Children under 14 will need to be accompanied by a parent. 
The Heart Savers CPR class goes over general information including; Good Samaritan law, signs & symptoms of a heart attack and stroke, barrier devices and how to live a healthier life. We demonstrate adult, child & infant skills on a manikin then have the students perform the skills. The instructor will go over the AED (automated external defibrillator) and choking for adult, child and infant in a safe, timely and effective matter.
The First Aid class is geared toward parents and caregivers and includes assessing children for illness’s including chicken pox. Asthma, pink eye, ring worm, strep throat ect. This class is combined with our emergency first aid course which touches on bleeding, bites, stings, poisoning, burns, and frost bite. We also demonstrate the epinephrine pen (EPI pen) so students have a visual of what it will look like in a real-life situation. This is a “hands on” training for the student and he / she will receive their Certification after class.
