<P>The Centre for Public Management (CPM) is opening its doors for a free "Personal Development Perspectives" event on Tuesday 20 November.</P>
<P>Covering topics from resilience and mentoring through to effective Government writing and tackling 'wicked problems' "Personal Development Perspectives" is providing taster sessions of some of CPM's most popular and sought after personal development programs.</P>
<P>With light refreshments, tea and coffee throughout the day, as well as access to the AIM Canberra Coach and experienced Training Design Team, this is personal development event not to be missed.</P>

<H3 CLASS="MsoNormal"><SPAN>Resilience: Policy into Outcomes (7:30am – 9am)</SPAN></H3>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal"><SPAN>Sally Dooley, our resident Resilience Consultant and well known Public Speaker will present with Colin Boldra, General Manager of CPM a series of perspectives and case studies on proactive and reactive approaches to wellbeing and resilience in the workplace. Including an open discussion on ‘what is the possible’?</SPAN></P>
<H3 CLASS="MsoNormal">Mindful Leadership (9am – 10am)</H3>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal"><SPAN>Sarah Rogers, one of the most highly sought after executive coaches currently working in the defence sector will provide a brief immersion into Mindful Leadership, to help attendees achieve the mindset and perspective that many successful leaders seek to maintain.</SPAN></P>
<H3 CLASS="MsoNormal">Wicked Problems: One Team Where Worlds Collide (9:30am – 11:30am)</H3>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal"><SPAN>A new CPM collaborator, Craig Ashhurst, PhD candidate in Wicked Problems, will present a snippet of his research on transcoherence, cultural biases and the challenges of conflict resolution in multidisciplinary teams when attempting policy development in a VUCA world.</SPAN></P>
<H3 CLASS="MsoNormal">Writing Right for Government (12pm – 2pm)</H3>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal"><SPAN>Max Rixe, an unashamed Gen Y consultant who revels in the challenge of communicating with perspective and focus, presents the ‘best bits’ from a series of new Government writing courses available through CPM and AIM. </SPAN></P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal"><SPAN>In an engaging, participant-centred session, Max will deliver the key takeaways and approaches to writing right in the public sector.</SPAN></P>
<H3 CLASS="MsoNormal">Mentoring: Making it Work for You (3pm – 4:30pm)</H3>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal"><SPAN>As a prior president of the ACT International Coaching Federation Kylie Holyland will provide insight to what makes mentoring successful with a case study into the Women in Law Enforcement Strategy mentoring program.</SPAN></P>
<H3 CLASS="MsoNormal"><SPAN>Skilling me Softly (2:30pm – 3:30pm)</SPAN></H3>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal"><SPAN>Emotional Intelligence has been identified by the World Economic Forum and highlighted in many studies as an essential survival skill for the new world of work. In developing emotional intelligence and the associated Soft Skills needed for Australian Managers AIM presents another perspective.</SPAN></P>
<H3 CLASS="MsoNormal">Leadership Development: Perspectives on design (5:30pm - 7pm + Networking)</H3>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal"><SPAN>Dr Sam Johnson from the Public Service Research Group at UNSW Canberra and Colin Boldra General Manager, CPM will co-facilitate an interactive workshop that draws out a principles based framework for learning leaders when approaching the design of public sector leadership development programs.</SPAN></P>
