Frequently asked questions

Should I arrive before my schedule ticket?

Yes, we recommend you arrive 10 minutes early.

Is petting a cow dangerous?

Somewhat: Cows are large animals. Ours range from 400 to 1500 Lbs. What this means is that a spook could make this large animal jump, walk or kick. For that reason you must be careful. It is recommended that you stay away from their back legs and keep track of their feet compared to your feet.

Are there bathrooms at the farm

We are working hard on getting bathrooms but we currently do not have any on the farm. We hope to have flushing toilets by Aug 2024.

What if it is raining, do you still do cuddles?

The cows are happiest to see us when it is raining. The only reason we cancel cuddles is if there is lightning or torrential down pours.

Can I buy my children a stuffed Highland Cow?

Coming soon. We are working on a farm store where you will be able to buy stuffed highlands along with eggs and beef.

What if I am late?

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late we can not guarantee you will have a full cuddle. We do our best to accommodate, but we must give preference to those who arrived at the cuddle on time. If you show up after your cuddle is supposed to be over you may not be admitted.

Do Cow Cuddles stress the cows?

The cows like to be fed and petted, but when it is bed time they are ready to go to bed. The last cow cuddle ends at 8:00 so they can get right to settling down for the night. Please try and be ready to go so they can get a good nights sleep.

Fold of Liberty Farms is a classical working farm where we raise many types of livestock. We also have a passion to teach about how we as a community must live and act to protect our freedoms. We must learn about animals, plants, and STEM so that we know how to preserve freedom. With this as our goal, we host events at the farm that drive toward these objectives. Pet a fluffy cow, plant trees, cut hay, watering and harvesting crops are all events that you can be a part of at Fold of Liberty Farms. We also have opportunities to use our facilities for family events such as weddings, reunions, and parties.
