About this event

Council is a different kind of networking event, one that will help you feel grounded in the beauty of human experience and more optimistic about your future. Through an intimate experience with a small group, you will get the chance to hear and share stories that will move, inspire, humor and resonate.

This experience includes two 30 min sessions of casual conversation on either end of a 60 min facilitated Council session centered around a theme for the evening. There are two core Council session formats:

- Connection Council: A light hearted exploration of experiences with a focus on cultivating curiosity, joy, and a feeling of connection between participants.

- Courage Council: An intentional exploration of the experiences that shape us with a focus on cultivating core capabilities associated with increasing hope, rising through adversity, finding peace with life, building deeper connection with each other and a richer understanding of ourselves.

The type of Council session is clarified in the title of the event.

Frequently asked questions

Should I have dinner before?

Yes. You are welcome to bring your dinner in if needed.

Will there be refreshments?

Yes, you will have a choice of tea, coffee, seltzer water, or juice. There will also be a small snack or dessert. Occasionally, there will be wine available too, however, we have discovered that too much alcohol is counterproductive to the Council experience.
