About this event

In this high-tech, low-touch world we all need to learn to slow down and really appreciate our life partner or even our best friend. Let us show you how to do that by learning how to give each other an exceptional massage. We promise you will have a wonderful time learning some world-class massage skills and techniques that will help you be both happier and healthier for years to come.

Our 3-hour couples massage workshop is designed to introduce you to the power of touch in your life and give you all of the massage skills that you will need to keep your partner or friend in heavenly bliss for the rest of your lives. It is a 3-hour, small group (six couples), interactive workshop that can dramatically change how you and your partner relate to each other through touch.

Our Story

We obviously both have a passion for manual healing with our massage and physical therapy backgrounds. We also believe that intentional touch and massage can help couples develop closer relationships and experience more intimacy within them as well. So we created these workshops about 12 years ago to help couples connect with each other through touch. Since then we have had over 4,000 couples come through our workshops and we have been able to hear over and over again how much our workshops have helped change people's lives.

Frequently asked questions

What do we need to bring to the workshop?

You don’t need to bring anything but yourself; we’ll provide everything you need to get started. That said, if you have skin allergies, you are allowed to bring your own lotion so that you can make sure you have the best experience possible.

What should we wear?

We recommend athletic clothing that’s going to be comfortable, loose, and that you don’t mind getting some oil on.

I feel uncomfortable dressing down in front of others. Can I still do the workshop?

Of course! Your personal modesty is important to us, and we strive to provide ways for you to learn while still remaining comfortable. You are allowed to wear whatever you are most comfortable in while in the group workshops and we show your partner how to keep you modestly covered.

What will we learn in the workshop?

Our primary goal is to teach you how to give a truly amazing massage. This involves teaching you a wide variety of effective techniques, from the basics to more advanced methods.

How are the workshops structured?

After a short introduction, one partner will get on the table, and the other will be guided in how to give them a wonderful massage. This lasts for about an hour; then, we’ll take a break, talk a little about the experience and the two will switch roles.

If I'm pregnant, can I still participate in a workshop?

Yes! In order to accommodate you, we’ll modify the techniques and maybe how you are positioned on the table and teach your partner how to provide a massage that will be beneficial to your pregnancy. That said, we do encourage you to speak to your doctor to make sure everything is alright beforehand.

My partner is (enter adjectives here), can we participate?

Yes, yes, yes. The workshop is for two people of any gender, race, religion, political affiliation, and type of relationship (friends, lovers, parents, kids, siblings....) so again, Yes! If you have more than two in your couple, give us a call.

I don't like small groups, do you do private workshops.

Yes, we do. At our location or yours. You can check out our website at www.PowerOfTouchWorkshops.com for more information.

Do I get a certification, degree, or license for completing a workshop?

No, that takes quite a while longer than our workshop, which is offered solely for recreational purposes, and so does not offer any of these upon completion.
