Couples Authentic Relating Experience
Overview
Most couples don’t struggle because they lack love. They struggle because they don’t have the tools to slow down, listen beneath the words, and stay connected when things get tender. In this Couples Authentic Relating workshop, you and your partner will be guided through experiential practices that strengthen emotional safety, improve communication, and help you navigate differences with more ease and compassion.
Whether you’re feeling deeply connected or a little out of sync, this space offers practical tools to deepen trust, name what’s true, and reconnect in a way that feels embodied, respectful, real, and even fun.
What is Authentic Relating?
Authentic Relating is a simple and playful way to connect more deeply with one another. Through guided games and structured exercises, couples are invited to explore honest expression, attuned listening, and mutual understanding. These practices can help boost empathy, reveal new perspectives, and support a deeper understanding of both yourself and your partner. Many couples leave feeling more connected and seen than they ever expected.
The tools shared in this workshop are accessible, not complicated, and designed to be taken home and used again whenever you feel called to reconnect.

Facilitator Bio
Hi, I’m Maizy. I’m deeply passionate about the joy of human connection and exploring our creative potential through structured dialogue. Through my own lived experience, I’ve witnessed time and time again that when we create intentional space to connect authentically, and have our stories and feelings truly listened to, we can gently heal wounded parts of ourselves while also celebrating the beauty of our lives together.
For the past decade, I’ve been teaching yoga, facilitating Authentic Relating Games, hosting Ecstatic Dances and other intentional gatherings, and supporting events, artists, and spaces I genuinely love and believe in. I’m a lover of words and believe deeply in their power to create meaning. Always seeking to understand the human experience more fully, I am currently completing my hours toward certification as a Social Health Practitioner through Seek Healing, a nonprofit organization grounded in the understanding that meaningful social connection and a sense of belonging are essential to healing and recovery.
