Breaking News! Joining the growing list of dance luminaries that have included Karole Armitage, Antonia Franceschi, Claudia Jeschke, Kat Wildish, Gabrielle Lamb, and Kathryn Posin, Ashley Bouder principal dancer of New York City Ballet will lead a talk back with choreographers and their collaborating artists following the Saturday, April 8 performance of CounterPointe.
CounterPointe is an annual performance series dedicated to presenting the latest experimental, innovative, risk-taking choreography that shows a depth of investment in ballet by women dance makers working with the pointe shoe. Investigating new and old territory the series highlights new work, opening up discussion, and creating a forum for women, young or old, emerging or established, to take risks. Since 2016 Norte Maar has paired choreographers with artists, presenting their new collaborations at CounterPointe. 
The series made its inaugural presentation in Brooklyn at the Actors Fund Arts Center in 2012. In June 2013, the series made its London debut at the Broadway in Barking. Post performance talks have been led by: Karole Armitage, Antonia Franceschi, Claudia Jeschke, Gabrielle Lamb, Kathryn Posin and Susie Crow.
