Cosmic Quest, written and directed by Charlie Russell, is on stage at Newbury Elementary School. A Theater Workshop production brings fun, dazzling dancing, exciting costumes, and special effects to present the best in original family theater. Cosmic Quest is a fun-filled journey through outer space. On stage are 32 elementary school actors from surrounding communities.
Audiences join Galaxy Jumpers as they travel to Earth and other unknown stars, meeting a host of fun space creatures from other worlds. A mysterious force is spreading strange chaos across the galaxy. To find clues and fix the chaos, as the story unfolds, these unlikely aliens become allies and learn to accept and welcome each other’s differences, resist the negative forces of chaos and work together to find a solution.
Public performances Saturday June 8th 7:00 pm and Sunday June 9th 1:00 pm matinee.
All the proceeds fund Workshop Arts Inc., a non-profit enrichment foundation. This Workshop Arts program is supported in part by Local Cultural Council grants from Newbury, Salisbury, Newburyport and Rowley.
