We define a wellness professional as someone who provides products in services that help individuals grow physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and socially through educational seminars, workshops, demonstrations, resources, and support tools.Fit23’s goal is to support Pittsburgh and the surrounding communities with an accountability-driven Wellness Program to inspire healthier lifestyles by offering FREE wellness sessions. Below are the descriptions of the wellness categories that Fit23 is focused on:Emotional — Coping effectively with life and creating satisfying relationshipsEnvironmental — Good health by occupying pleasant, stimulating environments that support the well-beingFinancial — Satisfaction with current and future financial situationsIntellectual — Recognizing creative abilities and finding ways to expand knowledge and skillsOccupational — Personal satisfaction and enrichment from one’s workPhysical — Recognizing the need for physical activity, healthy foods, and sleepSocial — Developing a sense of connection, belonging, and a well-developed support systemSpiritual — Expanding a sense of purpose and meaning in lifeThere will be a kick-off event on Saturday, August 20th at Pittsburgh Yards from 8am to 1pm. The Fit23 Wellness Program is 23 weeks on Saturday from August 27, 2022, to January 28, 2023, which will feature wellness professionals and vendors.
