Overview

What is C.O.R.E.?

The C.O.R.E. (Critical Occupation Response to Education) Program is tailored to be a rapid response to emploment shortages in key areas of Florida's economy. C.O.R.E. is funded by the Department of Economic Opportunity. Participation in training through C.O.R.E. results in a certifcation in the following areas: White Belt Six Sigma, Information Technology or Supply Chain Management. Courses are offered through C.O.R.E. are taught by an instructor from Broward College who works within their respective industry.

Length of Program:

Course offerings can range from 1 day to 2 weeks depending on the course selected. Refer to our course schedule for specific date offerings for each course.

Eligibilty:

Individuals 16+ years of age are interested in Technical Training who have earned either a High School Diploma or GED.

Results of Program Completion:

After a student participates in C.O.R.E., they receive either an industry certification or a certificate of completion depending on the course they selected. Having an industry certification or certificate of completion can be a major resume booster when applying to jobs or seeking a promotion.
