Event Arrival:

Day one of the symposium will begin on October 19 at 8:45 a.m. Please proceed to the second floor of the William C. Powers Student Activity Center (WCP) for check-in and coffee. Lunch and dinner will be served throughout the day.

Day two will begin on October 20 at 10:30 a.m. at the William C. Powers Student Activity Center. Coffee, lunch, and dinner will be served throughout the day.

The event will change location throughout the day, so if you plan to arrive late, please consult the schedule.

Parking Procedures:

Parking validation will be available for pickup at the Check-In table for off-campus guests. These are valid for the Speedway Garage or the 27th Street Garage.

Please pull a ticket when you arrive at the garage. You will scan the validation at the garage as you leave. Validations for each day are separate, so request Day 1 and Day 2 validation if needed.

Coffee, Lunch, and Dinner Information

Food will be provided for both days of the Texas Robotics Symposium. All food is distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis, so ensure you arrive at the events promptly.

In the morning of both days, coffee will be served in the Legislative Assembly Room. Day one lunch will be hosted in the WCP Ballroom, and a happy hour-style dinner and drinks will be served at the Anna Hiss Gymnasium (AHG).

Day two lunch will be a “Bots ‘n Bites” event hosted in the Engineering Education and Research Center (EER). This lunch will include robot demos and food. During the day two Undergraduate Presentations and Golden Bot Awards, hors d'oeuvres style snacks will be served.

Poster Presentations:

Day 1, October 19, will include poster presentations and networking sessions with Texas Robotics graduate students, beginning at 3:20 p.m. in the AHG Courtyard. There will also be a robotics demo held.

Graduate students participating in the poster presentations are encouraged to attend the second annual Golden Bot Awards, held on day two, October 20, at 4:00 p.m. The overall

Undergraduate Presentations:

The Undergraduate Presentation session will begin on Day two, October 20, at 3:40 p.m. This session will feature robot demonstrations from the undergraduate on-campus robotics organizations: ECLAIR (Engineering and Computational Learning of Artificial Intelligence in Robotics), RAS (IEEE Robotics & Automation Society), and TAR (Texas Aerial Robotics).

The undergraduate organizations will compete to win the inaugural Undergraduate Golden Bot Award. The award ceremony will be held directly after the presentations.
