Join Indiana Audubon for a great fall morning of birding among the newest sites on the Indiana Birding Trail. Both Cope Environmental Center and Hayes Arboretum offer excellent opportunities to connect with nature in eastern Indiana.
By this date we should be in the full swing of fall bird migration, with many flycatchers, vireos, and warblers to find. The goal this morning is to explore the drabber, less distinctive, tricky IDs of these temporary visitors on their way south to the tropics. Expect a variety of habitats to maximize our birding.
This field trip, led by Cope Program Coordinator Jeremy Proeschel and Hayes' naturalist Jenilee Braun, will start at 8 a.m. ET at Cope Environmental Center. After birding at Cope, we'll caravan to conclude the morning at Hayes Arboretum. The total time is around 4 hours, finishing before lunch.
Registration is $5 for Indiana Audubon members and $10 for non-members. For any inquiries about this field trip, contact us at info@indianaaudubon.org or call 765-205-1255.
