Hey there! Join us for an awesome night of music with COPE Collective showcasing seven new works by up-and-coming composer-performers.
COPE Collective Presents Seven New Works By Emerging Composer-Performers
About the event:
Join COPE artists for our collective launch event! Featuring new works by Luis Mcdougal, Kyrese Washington, Andrea Abel, Jonathan Collazo, Steph Tamas, Adrienne Schoenfeld and Jessica Roman, the COPE collective presents a diverse evening of new solo and chamber music works, ranging from acoustic to electronic, from traditional to graphic notation and much more!
About the collective:
The COPE (for Composer-Performer) Collective consists of a select roster of composer-performers and other creative early career professionals, who are working together to create new works without the time, financial and creative restrictions of the music industry. The collective runs on a labor exchange basis, where artists participate in the creation of one another’s work and in exchange, have their own works brought to life by others.
Together with our current 35 East-Coast based artists, it is our mission to create more equity in the industry and foster a sense of community in the contemporary music scene. By helping one another, we write, workshop, premiere and record new works.
