How can we have greater control over our food systems, our housing, and our jobs?

Acknowledging the current economic situation is the first step on the road toward building a more prosperous future. Join the conversation to discuss issues Denver residents face on a daily basis and how community members, entrepreneurs, the and neighbors are using community ownership to change them.

We'll discuss Denver examples of worker-owned businesses, community-owned real estate, and food sovereignty. You'll also have the chance to share business ideas you want to see in your community.

Join us online via Zoom! Interpretation from English to Spanish will be provided.

Organized by

We work to transform the current economic development system to a more inclusive and equitable model that prioritizes democratically-owned businesses, emphasizes local procurement, and ensures social, environmental, and institutional sustainability.

Our Vision

We envision self-determined communities, free from racism, and rooted in economic democracy, dignity, and joy.

Our Mission

To transform economic systems to close the racial wealth gap. We seek to foster collective power by advancing community and employee ownership, leveraging the economic engines of anchor institutions, and strengthening small businesses in historically excluded communities.
