Cool T-Shirt Dyeing

This is not your regular tie-dye! Come learn and try Shibori, a Japanese fabric dyeing technique using ink resists. Bring your own white T-shirts (up to 3) and marvel at the cool patterns that you can make! After the workshop, you will have some very cool t-shirts in town!

If you're feeling ambitious, feel free to bring whatever you want as long as it's 100% natural fiber such as 100% cotton, 100% silk and 100% wool, and your host will advise on how best to dye it (additional fees may apply depending on item size). We recommend bringing something that's white so the blue can really shine through.

We will also have large square kitchen towels and white 100% cotton unisex T-shirts in various sizes for sale on-site. To ensure that we have the size for you, please leave a note during checkout with your preferred size.

For the dye, we will be using Indigo, a dye derived from a plant that makes gorgeous blues. It also has a fascinating color change when exposed to air.

Note: Some splashes are possible, so we recommend wearing clothes and shoes that you don't mind a little bit of dye on. We will provide large gloves. Please make sure that whatever you bring is 100% natural fiber, such as 100% cotton, 100% silk or 100% wool. Synthetic fabric will not work with the dye.

Duration: 1.5 hours

Recommended minimum age: 10yrs+

REFUND POLICY: We offer full refunds and reschedules up to 48 hours prior to a workshop. Otherwise, you will receive a digital gift card for the cost of the workshop itself (taxes and fees are non-refundable or transferrable) that can be used to book future workshops, or to purchase merchandise online or in store.
