Sew Bonita (my brand) is a reflection of my colorful life and the culture that I am so proud of. I take pride in every bit of being Mexican/American and love to show the world what being Tejana is all about. I started my sewing venture in November of 2014 as a hobby! I attended several classes, but for the most part self taught! I also like to craft, and create things that are bright, bold, beautiful and full of shine! I am obsessed with every part of my Mexican culture! The food, décor, color, music, traditions and so much more! If I could I would throw cascaron confetti everywhere I go! But for now, this brand will do! Sew Bonita continues to grow all the while empowering women, and encouraging others to live a colorful life.I grew up on the border of Texas and Mexico in the city of Eagle Pass, Tx. I moved to Corpus Christi, Tx in 2001 and have established my roots here. I am married to Gerald Flores, and together we have a podcast called Sew Taco. We have four furry children and love being pet parents. I have a BS and MS from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, and currently work full time as a Case Manager.

We will also be hosting a mini mercado for attendees to purchase some of the best products from women owned/co-owned businesses.
