The official opening prayer and reflection session, to celebrate the Season of Creation and the start of the Catholic Earthcare Convocation.

Join the Catholic Earthcare community as we welcome the Season of Creation, and officially launch the Convocation. This special reflection event will highlight Laudato Si’, the Vatican’s Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, and celebrate our rich and wondrous ecological landscape. Beth Riolo of the Diocese of Wollongong, will present her renowned reflection of Laudato Si’, creation and First Nations peoples’ intimate connection to country. Hosted by Gwen Michener, Caritas Australia. Once you have registered, we will distribute the Zoom link and a calendar reminder closer to the event date. About BethBeth is the Environmental Advocacy Outreach Officer at the Catholic Diocese of Wollongong. Born and bred in Wollongong NSW, Beth has worked in Catholic Education for over 30 years. She has been a Primary School Teacher, Religious Education Coordinator, Education Officer in Catholic Life Education Mission (CLEM), Catholic Life and Religious Education (CLARE), Education Officer (Special Projects) in Strategic Planning &amp; Policy/Office of the Director (SPP) and is currently Professional Officer (Environment Advocacy Outreach) in Directorate Services at the Catholic Education Office, Diocese of Wollongong.Beth is passionate about enlivening religious education and Catholic school communities so they are relevant to both students and teachers and thelps schools read the ‘signs of the times’ so they can be communities of justice, inclusivity, sustainability and hospitality.
