CONVENTION
Written by Danny Rocco
Directed by Shannon Fillion
"Convention" is the story of the 1944 Democratic National Convention, the evening that led to Harry Truman being nominated as FDR's vice president instead of the uber progressive Henry Wallace. The title "Convention" refers both to the literal convention of the plot and also to the definition of convention, "a way in which something is usually done." Rocco and his team are exploring the patterns of our politics and the echoes of the past in our present.
