Relational wisdom is a relationship-enhancing paradigm that is similar to “emotional intelligence” (EI/EQ), a secular methodology that is being used by a rapidly growing number of corporations, business and medical schools, and even NFL and Special Forces teams to improve professional performance and team effectiveness. As valuable as emotional intelligence training is, it is inherently deficient because it ignores the designer and sustainer of all relationships: God. Relational wisdom resolves this deficiency. It draws on the “common-grace” insights God has revealed through recent studies on the neurology of emotions and leader¬ship, evaluates these insights through a biblical lens, and organizes them into a God-centered, gospel-driven disciple¬ship paradigm for relationships. A Convene Presentation would cover: the neurology of emotions, key elements of RW and EI/EQ, introduction to four acrostics for applying RW in the workplace (SOG, GPS, READ, and SERVE), and a plan for modeling and teaching these concepts in a business setting (with or without biblical context).
