<h1>Trust us, it&#x27;s not magic!</h1><p>Have you ever felt that some Open Source Commons applications and Community Sprint projects are built by &quot;open-sourcery&quot; magicians with magical powers? It sure does seem like it sometimes, but actually couldn&#x27;t be further from the truth! </p><p>Register today and join us for a first ever half-day training &amp; collaboration event to learn more about the CumulusCI suite of tools being used by Nonprofit and Education volunteers just like you. Yes, you!</p><h1><strong>Who Should Attend?</strong></h1><p><strong>TL:DR</strong> (too long;didn&#x27;t read) = Everyone! Yes, you!</p><p>Bringing an idea to life takes much more than just a skilled developer. We aim to educate and encourage everyone in our community to explore new tools and techniques to see how they can contribute. The tools covered in this training can be used by everyone from Admins to Architects with a little training, and we encourage you to dive in with a learning mind.</p><p>Salesforce.org is committed to hosting a diverse and inclusive event. We encourage you to share this event within your networks to help with these efforts.</p><h1>Agenda Overview</h1><p>(subject to change)</p><h3>CumulusCI Tooling Suite Introduction (60 mins)</h3><p>Hear Jason Lantz, Director of Release Engineering at Salesforce.org, provide an overview of our open source contribution tools in use by the Open Source Commons Community today, including:</p><ul><li><a href="https://trailhead.salesforce.com/en/content/learn/trails/build-applications-with-cumulusci" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><strong>CCI</strong></a> - A command-line based tool that helps build great applications on the Salesforce platform by automating org setup, testing, and deployment for everyone — from developers and admins to testers and product managers. </li><li><a href="https://github.com/SFDO-Tooling/Metecho" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><strong>Metecho</strong></a> - If command-line just ISN&#x27;T. YOUR. THING., we can&#x27;t wait to introduce you to our new <strong>web-based</strong> building interface that enables non-developers (Admins!) to contribute to open source projects built on top of the Salesforce platform! Create Scratch org&#x27;s to follow continuous integration best practises, and build customizations using clicks not code!</li><li><a href="https://github.com/SFDO-Tooling/MetaCI" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><strong>MetaCI</strong></a> - A specialized lightweight CI tool for building Salesforce projects from Github repositories and automating package builds using CumulusCI flows. Used by Salesforce.org engineers and Open Source Commons projects that have an application.</li><li><a href="https://install.salesforce.org/products#open-source-commons" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><strong>MetaDeploy</strong></a> - Salesforce.org&#x27;s managed package installer where all Salesforce.org products and Open Source Commons applications are installed.</li><li><a href="https://github.com/SFDO-Tooling/Snowfakery" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><strong>Snowfakery</strong></a> - A command-line based tool for generating fake data for your Salesforce org or scratch org. Automatically generate faked data, unique and random, like a snowflake.</li></ul><h3>Community Ignite Talks (20 mins)</h3><p>Hear from some of our open source community volunteers who have built incredible things using the CumulusCI suite of tools. In this session, participants will be given 5 mins back-to-back to share inspiring stories on their learning journey and what they&#x27;ve built.</p><h3>Tool Deep Dives (60 mins)</h3><p>Want a deeper understanding of the CumulusCI tools? Join either the CCI or Metecho tracks (will run simultaneously) to learn more from members of the Salesforce.org Release Engineering team. </p><p><strong>CCI Track:</strong></p><ul><li>Snowfakery with Paul Prescod, LMTS - Performance Engineering at Salesforce.org</li><li>Tools for Composing Great Orgs with David Reed, LMTS - Release Engineering at Salesforce.org</li></ul><p><strong>Metecho Track:</strong></p><ul><li>Admin Focused Contributions using Metecho with David Glick, LMTS - Release Engineering at Salesforce.org</li></ul><h3>Conversation Corners (90 mins)</h3><p>If you&#x27;ve been to a Community Sprint event before, you&#x27;ll have some idea of what&#x27;ll happen in these breakouts! We&#x27;ll create space for anyone to join in a tool specific conversation, Q&amp;A, hands-on, or even some Sprint style brainstorming and contribution. We don&#x27;t know exactly what will come of these conversations and that&#x27;s just how we like it.
