David Mixner is a self-described “liberation theorist.” To most, he is regarded as a remarkable pioneer and hero within the LGBTQ community and others. Since the 1960's, he's created a name for himself as an American activist and best-selling author, whose passion for advocacy began during the civil rights movement. He was an outspoken critic of the Vietnam War, a key organizer of the working class' right to unionize and he continues to be a vocal supporter of LGBTQ rights today.
 
He is an accomplished writer of three best-selling novels, has raised millions for charitable foundations and political endeavors, and initiated an organization that spearheaded state legislation that aggressively worked to mediate the AIDS epidemic. 
 
David’s continuous efforts to curb corruption, racism and homophobia has such an immense reach that it stretches beyond the politics of Washington. He’s also an avid player on the ground floor, his grassroots mentality focused on educating queer youth on the importance of maintaining the fight for equality.
