CONTINUOUS STRAND WEAVING

Overview

CONTINUOUS STRAND WEAVING- Instructor: Martha Johnson

CONTINUOUS STRAND WEAVING - Instructor:- Martha Johnson Date: Saturday 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Max: 9 Min Age: 11 Class Fee: $45 Materials fee payable to instructor: $75

Continuous Strand Weaving or Bias Weaving is fun and relatively easy to do, requires minimal set up, has zero yarn waste and you can do it almost anywhere! In this class, you will build your very own Continuous Strand Weaving loom (approximately 7" square) AND learn how to weave on it! Examples of other shapes of continuous strand looms (diamonds, triangles, rectangles, hexagons, stars, hearts, and flower petals ) will be shared along with different things you can make. There will be handouts about how to do continuous strand weaving, including different pattern techniques, joining techniques and resources.

Students should bring:

Scissors for cutting the yarn at the end, a hammer (any size but a smallish one is easier for this project), a ruler or tape measure and a writing stencil (pen or pencil).
