Continuous Line Drawing With Pen and Saturated Ink with Meagan Burns

Join artist/instructor/workshop creator Meagan Burns for a "Continuous Line Drawing with Pen and Saturated Inks" workshop on Saturday, June 22, 2024. In this workshop, Meagan demonstrates exercises, techniques and tips that assist artists in becoming stronger line makers by using the concept of continuous line drawing. Meagan has designed a specific curriculum with three powerful benefits: moving past drawing fears, increasing composition comprehension, and building confidence that will catapult artists of all skill levels to enhance their creative drawing expression.

In this workshop, we'll gather at ARCH Art Supplies for a brief introduction, some drawing warm-up exercises to strengthen your line conditioning and confidence, then a series of timed short sketches with time for review, #CLUSking (continuous line urban sketching) of the area, then we'll finish big with a sketch throw down.

About Meagan:

Meagan Burns is an Artist/Instructor/Workshop Creator originally from Chicago, now living in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico where she helps people plow through their drawing fears by practicing Continuous Line Drawing online and in the fascinating streets of Mexico City and beyond. She rallied the San Miguel de Allende sketching community to become a Regional Chapter of Urban Sketchers in 2016, with artists sketching each week with fellow artists from around the world. An active member of the urban sketching community for a decade, she began her continuous line practice in Mexico City during the pandemic because of its calming benefits, but has been offering sketch workshops and classes since 2017. Background is marketing, graphic design and regenerative farming, Meagan provides her community with art making opportunities, drawing classes, workshop experiences, farm field trips and delicious tacos.
