About this event

For Ages 18+ – Using a live (nude) model as a reference, students will be given prompts to expand and challenge their figure drawing and painting skills. Working with unconventional techniques and materials, we will strive to create dynamic and genre-defying works of art. We will look at works by artists such as Mickalene Thomas, Mr StarCity, Allison Miller, and David Hockney as we create our own unique pieces. Painting from a live figure model will begin after the first class meeting. Recommended supply lists will be reviewed and distributed in the first class meeting. Please note we will not be using oil paints in this class.
