For those of you that are new to our unique mission, get excited! Our goal is to raise 100k as we close out April to advance our mission, and we want our community to know, every contribution makes a difference.
At Consult Lemonade, we are committed to restoring the presence of family support in the home and in the community by replacing the need for multiple jobs to provide a standard of living, with higher paying IT jobs. Our three pronged approach is to engage, empower and employ. We are addressing the need to diversify and revive the workforce, while closing the wealth gap, by providing tech training and career coaching to underrepresented talent ages 18 and up, to prepare them to secure jobs and promotions in the Tech Industry. The Tech Industry is a shortname reference for Technology which includes but is not limited to Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Augmented and Virtual Reality, Cybersurity and Machine Learning. This is the way of the future, and tech offers the opportunity to level the playing field for all of us.
We choose to engage the entire family (both parents and their children), providing family inclusive events like our Lemonade + Life-Skills Family Summit, Social Hack-a-thon and ongoing programming. The previously mentioned areas provide an on-ramp to continue training and education for participants to be included in our pipeline for hire and internship opportunities. We target underrepresented talent and their families to provide a path to financial stability and generational wealth, countering socio-economic challenges that are traditionally at the root of crime and absenteeism.
