Construction Contracts Workshop

Construction Contracts Workshop

Overview

This practical workshop is designed to help build confidence in administering JCT and RIBA construction contracts.

Join us for a practical half-day interactive workshop led by Professor Sarah Lupton and Professor Manos Stellakis, co-authors of:

📘 Guide to JCT Standard Building Contract 2024
📘 Guide to JCT Intermediate Building Contract 2024
📘 Guide to JCT Design and Build Contract 2024
📘 Guide to JCT Minor Works Building Contract 2024
📘 Which Contract? Choosing the Appropriate Building Contract

Rather than a traditional seminar, this is an interactive workshop where we'll work through a range of realistic contract administration scenarios, discussing how the contract should be applied in practice and the common issues encountered on live projects.

💬 Topics are expected to include:

  • ⏱️ Extensions of Time
  • ⚖️ Liquidated Damages
  • 📋 Contract administration best practice
  • 🚧 Common pitfalls and practical solutions
  • ❓Interactive discussion and Q&A throughout

Whether you're new to contract administration or looking to refresh your knowledge, you'll leave with greater confidence in administering contracts on your projects.

Have a scenario you'd like to discuss?

Help shape the workshop by sending us your contract administration questions or real-life scenarios in advance. We'll use submitted examples (anonymised) during the session, making the workshop as practical, relevant and interactive as possible.
