Conservation Summit

The Association of Vermont Conservation Commissions is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support Vermont’s conservation commissions and to encourage the establishment of more conservation commissions in the state. AVCC is a membership organization, with conservation commissions as well as individuals as members. Founded in 1990, AVCC is overseen by a volunteer board of directors.

The Summit is a day-long educational and networking event for community volunteers engaged in planning and caring for natural resources. Many of our members serve on VT conservation commissions. Join us as we share experiences and ideas on the many issues communities face in managing natural resource assets, from town forests to town plans!
This year's theme is "Caring for Vermont's Waters - What we can do!" and will include great breakout sessions on how local conservationists can focus on our waters; from wetlands and lakes to stormwater and water supply. Don't miss this exciting opportunity!
