Projects include Trail Maintenance, habitat restoration, prairie restoration, invasive species removal, painting, structure preserve & trail cleanup


Saturday mornings bring heavy traffic to the Preserve so please plan accordingly as projects start promptly at 8am. Add an extra 20 minutes to your eta. Volunteer parking is available by the maintenance barn and noted in the attached picture. To gain access, inform the parking attendants that you are volunteering in the workday.

  • 9 am to midday or 8 am to 11 am from May to end of October

  • Clothing: Long sleeves and pants recommended for sun, sting, and scrape protection, closed toe shoes required. Please note Poison Ivy is present throughout Preserve.
  • Items to bring: sunscreen, hat, water
