Conscious Queens 

The First Generationers was created with one idea in mind: Ubuntu, loosely translated “I am because you are”. The purpose is to find a sense of community within the first generation diaspora. This project seeks to create discourse on issues we face, such as prejudice, systematic racism, the hyphenated identity; and be an advocate for self-love, solidarity, tolerance, and education. She hopes to see this community grow and flourishtogether.

Conscious Queens is an event for women. Let's celebrate the queen in you. Let's celebrate your accomplishments. Let's celebrate our community. This event showcases every single glass ceiling that has been shattered by queens who took the time to realize their potential, their strengths, and their magic.This event will feature small businesses owned by women of color, a showcase by artists in our community, and a panel of our fabulous hosts who are queens making a huge impact in their commiunities.
