We design and deliver community programs to residents of Nevada with other agencies and volunteers.What we do:  We learn about the needs of our community and develop programs to meet them. Conscious Coding: The class where computer science meets civic engagement.

This four-week class will walk middle school students through understanding the coding process and using CS First and Scratch to creatively create a public service announcement about voting. Requirements:<ul><li>An interest in coding</li><li>Access to a computer and internet</li></ul>This workshop is open to youth grades 6 - 8. Registration is required. Spaces are limited so sign up ASAP.This class will be facilitated in a hybrid-learning format. Some students will be able to attend class in person, while the other students will be able to attend virtually via Zoom. Classes are 60 minutes per session and will be held on the following dates and times:Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 11 a.m.Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 11 a.m.Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11 a.m.Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 11 a.m.Instructor: Shay McGee, Clark County - A.D.
