Conquering Multiple Funding Programs

Tight budgets and creative funding approaches for affordable housing programs often lead to layers of rules and regulations. It is just a reality of working in the modern-day affordable housing landscape. While layering different programs is a great way to get a project developed, it can create some challenges for the staff responsible for managing and maintaining compliance.

Tackling the Challenges of Layered Funding Programs

This two-day course tackles the challenges of working with multiple funding programs with a unique and dynamic approach. We have developed a color-coded coursebook that shows how all of the major funding programs work together. The course takes you through all of the major categories, how to handle leasing, income calculations, student status, and other requirements.

Common housing programs include:

  • Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program (LIHTC)
  • Housing and Urban Development Multi-Family Housing (HUD MFH)
  • Rural Development (RD)
  • HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME)

Randy McCall Breaks Down the Funding Programs

Created by Amanda Lee Gross, US Housing Consultant's VP of Training & Housing Policy, this course which breaks down the differences between each program’s rules and requirements.

Randy McCall, Housing Compliance Trainer, will use real-world examples and exercises to provide practical guidance on how all of the funding programs be maintained when layered together.

Join Randy for this two-day course that will provide attendees with a clear understanding of the challenges of multiple funding programs. The course is fun and engaging and always delivered from the perspective of someone who lived and breathed the experiences of managing affordable housing from the ground up.
