💡 Abstract: Java continues to be an emergent language with plenty of new features in the backlog waiting to be implemented.

While the language changes and adapts to today’s requirements, we, the Java developers, need to continuously learn and make us aware of what is added in the language and what will follow to be added. In this discussion, we’ll point out the main features we expect in Java in the next few versions. You’ll learn about the progress of the four main projects which give the direction of the future in Java: Loom, Valhalla, Amber, and Panama.

💡 Abstract: PCI-DSS is a framework for information security that regulates credit card transactions and can challenge us when the cloud becomes part of the solution. This is the journey of building a financial application inside Microsoft Azure. Together we discover the hassles and challenges of designing and building a PCI-DSS-compliant system from the infrastructure, application, and governance point of view.
