Connection + Commonality

Connection + Commonality

Overview

Turning Introductions into Real Relationships

We’re trained to identify commonalities among audiences. But in professional rooms, we often default to credentials, titles, and surface-level connections.

In this interactive luncheon session, Jessica Gruber will lead a live, large-format mind-mapping experience designed to challenge how we approach networking and relationship-building. Instead of focusing on meeting more people or delivering a polished pitch, participants will explore how shared context, perspective, and experience create the relationships that actually drive referrals, collaborations, and long-term growth.

Through a structured, collaborative exercise, attendees will uncover where commonality already exists — and how to intentionally recognize and name it in future conversations.

At the core is one simple framework:

Connection + Commonality = Relationship

Participants will leave with a sharper lens for industry events, client conversations, partnerships, and follow-ups — and a practical way to move beyond transactional networking.

Jessica Gruber is the Founder of Buzzworks Creations and the Chief Operating Officer of Success Champion Networking, a national B2B networking organization. She works at the intersection of marketing strategy, positioning, and relationship-driven growth.

With over a decade of experience building brands and scaling professional communities, Jessica focuses on a question most professionals overlook: why do some connections turn into real momentum while others quietly stall?

Through her work with agencies, business owners, and leadership teams, she helps organizations clarify their positioning, strengthen their networks, and build systems that create long-term opportunity. Known for her clear, practical approach, Jessica challenges surface-level networking and replaces it with intentional relationship-building rooted in shared context and commonality.

Whether working with marketing teams, entrepreneurs, or community leaders, her focus remains the same: connection alone isn’t enough — relationships are built through common ground.
