Connecting the Dots 2020

Par Family Care Council Area 4
Schultz CenterJacksonville, FL
avr. 23, 2020 to avr. 23, 2020
Aperçu

It’s April! Under normal circumstances, we would be finalizing our preparations for the annual Connecting the Dots conference. However, due to risks associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, guidelines from the state and federal levels, and careful consideration for the health and safety of our participants, the CTD 2020 planning committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the conference for 2020.

At this time, we are considering alternative formats to provide community members access to as much of the resources and information that you would find at the conference. We will continue to keep you updated as plans evolve. Please make sure to check your email, our Family Care Council Area 4 Facebook page, the Agency for Persons with Disabilities social channels, and those of our dedicated sponsors for more information and updates.

If you currently have a paid registration and would like a refund, please check the Eventbrite website for details on that process. We would encourage you to consider donating your refund to any of our Sponsors and/or community partners, since this time is especially difficult for many non-profits.

We hope this finds you and your families safe and healthy.

 Sincerely,

Your Connecting the Dots 2020 planning team

Please join us for our sixth annual Connecting the Dots conference. Our Keynote speaker this year is Sarah Goldman, District Aide for the Florida House of Representatives and self-advocate. -Signs and symptoms of Anxiety in the Special Needs community

-Strategies for Students with Anxiety

-Healthy Living Strategies

-Hygiene and Sexuality Education for Teens and Adults with Different Abilities

-Self-care for the Caregiver

-Advocacy and Building Self-Determination Skills

-Communication Strategies and Supports

-Legal Ways of Protecting Rights
