Have you ever wondered how you can better help a youth when they are feeling depressed or anxious, or just a little out of it? Learn about this topic at our event coming up December 11, 2019 at the Cubberley Community Center @6:00pm-7:30pm. Are you struggling to connect with youth; son, daughter, niece, nephew or your mentee?? Youth Community Service presents Connect with Me, an event created by our creative peer leaders (youth group) to connect with parents or adults. We are here to provide a safe space for an open dialogue between youth and adults with assistance from clinician Havi Hall who is a child and adolescent therapist. She helps families in areas such as depression, anxiety and self-regulation, issues regarding relationship with technology, and how to better balance our lives online and offline. This will be a fun and engaging event, with pizza, face time with youth and fun activities. Build trust by sharing power, letting youth be heard and allowing parents to listen. Bring your great energy and curiosity!
