Confronting Systemic Racism

Anti-Racism Collaborative (ARC) is a multi-racial collective of anti-oppression educators and activists committed to supporting the movement for racial justice and equity. ARC provides community programming, organizational trainings and consulting, and social movement partnerships that transform culture and create social change.

<P>This course will focus on bridging a deep understanding of personal and structural racism into commitments and a solid plan to move forward! Participants will examine their experiential roles in the dynamics of systemic racism and find the next step in framing their roles in social justice movements. The course is geared to talk openly about our lived experience in a racist and oppressive society as well as move beyond words toward action to dismantle racism, whether in our own personal sphere or in your community.</P>
<P>Please join us for a powerful 5-week course facilitated by 2 local faciliatators. All are welcome but <EM></EM>it is<EM> important to note</EM> that the course takes an explicit view that transforming both ourselves and our society to be racially just implicates a responsibility in white and privileged folks to engage in this work more robustly.</P>

<P CLASS="_1mf _1mj">The course sessions take place Monday's from 6:30 - 8:30 pm, starting January 22nd and will run for 5 weeks with the final class on February 19th.</P>

<DIV CLASS="_1mf _1mj">Tuition is $80 per person. Sliding-scale need-based scholaships are available.</DIV>
