Join Kat - Registered Dietitian, and Lyndsey, Owner of Mini First Aid Edinburgh and Lothians, for our newest Confident Weaning Workshop.

Starting solids soon and not sure where to begin? Or feeling a bit nervous about choking? Our Confident Weaning workshop has been updated to give parents practical, evidence-based guidance so you can feel confident introducing food to your baby. In this session we’ll cover: • Signs your baby is ready to start solids • First foods and how to safely progress textures • Building balanced meals to support growth and development • When and how to introduce common allergens • Basic first aid guidance for allergic reactions • Understanding the difference between gagging and choking, and how to reduce choking risk • What to do if a baby under one year old is choking • What to do if your baby refuses food This workshop is perfect for parents or carers with babies approaching weaning or who have recently started. *Please note: this workshop provides general guidance. If you would like personalised support for your child, you can arrange a one-to-one session with Kat.
